Job Training

The Department of Economic Development has close partnerships with the Cumberland County Center For Workforce and Economic Development, Cumberland County College, and the Cumberland County Technical Education Center, all of which offer businesses located in Vineland assistance with recruitment and job training needs.

The Center For Workforce and Economic Development (CWED) offers a variety of programs including Post-Secondary Education, Occupational Skills Training, and On-The-Job-Training which are designed to help meet the needs of employers. The CWED also works with educational partners to create customized training programs tailored to an employer’s specific needs. In addition, the CWED partners with the State Business Action Center, the Economic Development Authority, New Jersey Talent Networks, and other business development agencies in order to provide an array of other services that benefit Vineland businesses.

Cumberland County College (CCC) is an open door, comprehensive, two-year public institution dedicated to meeting the needs of residents and employers for educational advancement and career training. A variety of degrees in arts and sciences are available, as well as academic certificates and customized training. CCC also has partnerships with several universities that conduct bachelor’s and master’s degree programs online and at its on-campus University Center.

Cumberland County Tech (CCTEC) offers students a chance to explore various careers and helps them to develop the skills they need for success in any field. With a strong academic and technical foundation, TEC students are able to make the most of college or advance within their chosen career.And whether they are headed to college or planning to pursue advanced career-focused training, TEC students learn the “soft skills” that employers value, like teamwork, critical thinking, responsibility and communications. TEC redefines vocational education through active, challenging, and hands on learning opportunities within technology driven “Smart”classrooms.
